Please join us in prayer this week for those affected by the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas. The storm – which is the worst to hit Texas in 50 years – is believed to have killed at least eight people and has driven thousands from their homes. As the floodwaters continue to rise, pray for the 30,000 people who are expected to seek shelter in the coming days. Pray that God would comfort those who have lost their homes and belongings, and that they would sense the love of Jesus as volunteers and local church members seek to come to their aid. Also, please pray for God to provide strength and endurance to the search-and-rescue workers who are tirelessly striving to help as many people as they can.
