CBM Appoints Dennis Shierman Western Canada Representative & Major Donor Strategist

Mississauga, Ontario – Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dennis Shierman into the key role of Western Canada Representative and Major Donor Strategist, effective immediately. Dennis will be based out of Calgary. His primary responsibilities will be to promote mission engagement and global discipleship within the Canadian Baptist churches of Western Canada and provide overall leadership to donor engagement for the organization.

Prior to this new appointment with CBM, Dennis served as the Vice-President of Development for One Book, a mission organization focused on Bible translation. In that position, he continued to develop his skills and passion for fund development among major donors and foundations.

Before joining One Book, Dennis served at CBM for 25 years in a variety of roles, beginning by working alongside his wife Judy as Field Staff in Indonesia and Bolivia. Upon their return to Canada in 2004, Dennis held a number of positions within the organization, including Regional Representative for Western Canada, Manager of Discipleship Programs and then Manager of Stewardship and Giving, which he held at the time he departed CBM in 2015.

CBM is grateful and excited for Dennis’ return. His passion and commitment to work and churches have made a significant impact on all whom he has served with over the years. We hold great anticipation for what he will contribute to the Canadian Baptist family through this new role.
