CBM Appoints Tim & Kallie Hutton as Global Field Staff

timandkalliehuttonCanadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim & Kallie Hutton as Global Field Staff for Bolivia.

The focus of Tim & Kallie’s work will be to provide support and mentorship to staff and projects in conjunction with CBM’s partners, the Bolivian Baptist Union (UBB) and its development arm OBADES. This will include building capacity within churches, the UBB seminary and local communities around integral mission practices. It will also entail improving access to and distribution of theological resources and other information vital for effective ministry.

Tim & Kallie have been volunteering in Bolivia since Fall 2013, working alongside CBM’s Global Field Staff the Guthries, Soucys, and Nachos. Kallie previously spent four months in Bolivia during an internship with CBM in 2009 at Casa de la Amistad.  Her recent work in Canada was as a Youth Pastor in a Québec-based church, and as a professional fundraising consultant for several major NGOs. Tim has a Master of Library and Information Science degree from McGill University, and previously worked in the library field within Québec. While in Bolivia, he has been working at the Carachipampa Christian School Library and as a consultant for two seminary libraries.

Both Tim & Kallie were raised in Saskatchewan and have attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Saskatoon and Westhill Park Baptist Church in Regina. They are both trilingual speaking English, French, and Spanish. Currently they are in Bolivia, but plan to return to Canada this summer for a time of fundraising and vision sharing before beginning their assignment.
