Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) regrets to announce the resignation of Dennis Shierman. He will be ending his role as CBM’s Manager of Stewardship & Giving effective January 15, 2016. Dennis’ wife Judy has accepted the role of Lead Pastor at Altadore Baptist Church and the Shiermans will be relocating to Calgary at the beginning of next year in order for her to fulfill that calling. It is CBM and Dennis’ intention to continue an association into the future, the specifics of which are to be determined.
Dennis has served with CBM in various roles for over 25 years. He and Judy served as Global Field Staff in Indonesia from 1990 to 1993 and then Bolivia from 1994 to 2004. The Shiermans then returned to Canada so Dennis could assume the role of CBM’s Regional Representative for Western Canada. In 2010, they relocated to Toronto when Dennis became the Manager of Discipleship Programs, helping to oversee CBM’s short-mission and STEP programs, a position he held until August of this year.
CBM wishes to express its utmost gratitude for Dennis’ years of faithful service to the organization. His passion and commitment to his work and Canadian Baptists churches have made a deep impact in the lives of the many people he has served alongside. CBM sincerely thanks Dennis for his dedication and effective ministry which has spanned decades and continents. We wish the Shiermans continued blessings as they follow God’s leading into the future.
