Through Kids Care, children will be challenged to understand God’s desire for all people to be food secure, and how they can be a part of making a difference by taking action! Kids Care gives kids the opportunity to learn about children in another part of the world through fun activities, crafts and games, to hear God’s word through a Bible lesson, and to respond to God’s love through giving. Children will expand their notion of community in the world, and be moved to action!
What's for Dinner covers the impact, scope, and causes of hunger, and how we can fight for food security together as the body of Christ. We will explore what God has to say about the importance of food as a gift, and sharing this gift with one another.
We will meet other kids from India, Bolivia, Kenya, and Rwanda and hear them share incredible stories of their lives changed through CBM’s food security programs all over the world. Also, we will learn about the Christian concepts of gratitude, compassion, love, generosity, community and hospitality.
Meet Anne and her family, who live in Kenya. Spend the day with Anne as she takes you through a typical day in her life, and learn how becoming food secure has made a huge impact on her and her family. Anne shares, "Staying awake or concentrating on my school work is difficult when I don’t have enough to eat and am hungry. Like during the time we had a drought. I was very worried. We had very little rain and all of our fields dried up. My parents could not grow anything to eat and sell, so we had no money and no food. They could not afford to pay my school fees.... We could not believe it when we saw the truck arrive with food relief one day. It was organized by a church in our region, called the African Christian Church & Schools, and some of their international friends, *CBM and CFGB... We praise God so much for this blessing!"

This year, help more families like Rene’s gain food security. Get involved in food projects as a class, or hold a fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for a CBM food security project. As you lead children in understanding God’s heart for the hungry, we hope you will be challenged and encouraged as well.
