Transition
Following their recent visit to Indonesia to tie up loose ends and say their final goodbyes to colleagues and friends, Darrell and Laura Lee Bustin now recognize that what they are currently feeling is part of the grief process. As much as they are looking forward to what God has in store for them in Rwanda, leaving behind those who have been a part of their lives for the past 10 years has not been easy. Pray that their time of grieving will soon pass, so that by the time they leave for Africa in early July, they will be eagerly awaiting the unfolding of God’s plan for them in Rwanda.
Haiti
Please be in prayer for CBM’s first Short Term Ministries team to Haiti, leaving this Saturday, February 4. The 15 participants from Glen Acres Baptist Church in Kitchener/Waterloo, will be building ‘rubble houses’ in the region of Grand Goave. Rubble housing takes its name from the fact that the house walls are constructed by re-using the rubble created by buildings that collapsed during the 2010 earthquake. Remember the Canadians and Haitians as they work together, praying that they will respect and care for each other as colleagues and brothers and sisters in the Lord..
Lebanon/India
Rupen and Mamta Das ask us to be in prayer for the next residency of the India cohort of the Diploma in Integral Mission – CBM’s Project of the Month for January 2012. The venue is Hyderabad, and the dates for the course are Feb 7 - 18. Pray for much grace for the faculty as they teach, and pray also for the participants, that they will be able to apply what they learn to their own ministries.
