Kennys appointed new Guardians of Hope Coordinators

CBM announces that Global Field Staff Aaron and Erica Kenny will become the new Coordinators for Guardians of Hope (GOH), The Sharing Way's HIV & AIDS program. This new role for the Kennys comes as CBM prepares for the retirement of current GOH Coordinator Patty Card. Patty has served as the GOH Coordinator since 2004, a role that enabled her to utilize her extensive medical background and international experience.  She and her husband, Malcolm, CBM’s Africa Team Leader, will return to Canada in April.

In 2006, the Kennys were appointed as Global Field Staff with CBM to serve in Kenya among the displaced Somali people. Their ministry has contributed to the development of many effective initiatives at the Eastleigh Community Centre, such as English literacy programs, self-help groups, vocational skills training and community development projects.

Aaron and Erica will continue to work in Eastleigh in addition to their new duties. CBM believes their unique gifts will be an asset to the Guardians of Hope program. We request that you continue to uphold the Kennys in prayer as they take on this new challenge.
