Planned Giving

The choice that you face with a portion of your estate is between giving it to the government and giving it to God. The reality is that all estates incur taxes when they are probated. Depending on the size and makeup of the estate, that tax burden can be significant. By making a gift to a charity such as CBM, that tax burden can be substantially reduced or even eliminated altogether, and with little reduction in what is ultimately available for distribution to your loved ones. The following are assets that can be used to make a planned gift to CBM:

  • Stocks, bonds and mutual funds
  • RRSPs and RIFs
  • Property (home, cottage, condo, art work, etc)
  • Life insurance policy

To find out more about leaving a gift to CBM in your will, or about establishing a trust fund, please contact Blair Clark at (905) 821-3533 ext 155, or by email at bclark@cbmin.org.
