Sharing Way Water - CBM
Water is the common property of all – the source of life, essential for sustaining human, animal and plant life on earth, a key component in maintaining stable global climate patterns, indispensable for agriculture and industrial production, and a substance of deep spiritual and cultural significance in many societies. But water is not distributed equitably around the globe.

In our world today over 2 billion people do not have access to improved sanitation and more than 1billion people do not have access to an improved source of water.

The lack of safe water and sanitation service in the developing world is most acutely felt by rural dwellers and the urban poor. With few resources at their disposal and limited access to these services, the poor are particularly vulnerable to illnesses that in turn hinder their productivity and make escaping poverty even more difficult.

Improving access to safe water supplies, makes collecting water, typically the responsibility of women and girls, more convenient, less time-consuming, and less physically demanding. Clean water also drastically reduces disease. Hence beneficiaries are healthier and have more time to pursue productive activities such as attending school, taking better care of the family, farming, or running a small business.
