The World Day Against Human Trafficking is July 30th. Human trafficking is the recruitment and transport of a child or adult for the purposes of sexual exploitation or forced labor, and though it is an overwhelming issue, we can take action. Please pray that we can speak up for modern-day slaves around the world, and for the extreme poverty which is often at the root of the vast majority of trafficking around the world. Pray that those that are rescued may feel safe and begin to heal, and for God’s joy and hope to replace all shame and fear. May God give strength to investigators and prosecutors, and courage to survivors as well, in the face of such injustice.
