Resignation of Global Field Staff Wayne and Maureen Morgan

Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) announces the departure of Global Field Staff Wayne and Maureen Morgan, effective July 31, 2015. The Morgans have served with CBM in Kenya for over three years, working alongside CBM’s partner the African Christian Church and Schools, in community development, training leaders and discipling believers. Prior to their appointment with CBM, they lived in Prince George, British Columbia, where Wayne served as a pastor at First Baptist Church and Maureen worked as a nurse.

After much prayer and consideration, Wayne and Maureen have discerned that it is important to be closer to their family at this time. They believe that God is calling them to refocus the next chapter of their lives on being available to meet the needs of their family. The Morgans have three young-adult sons, as well as aging parents residing in Canada.

CBM is grateful for the service of the Morgans during their time as Field Staff. Says Terry Smith, CBM Director of International Partnerships, “They have built many deep relations and have been part of shaping our partnership into something very rich and meaningful. I am deeply grateful to the Morgans for all they have done to strengthen our work in Kenya.”
