PASTORS ARRESTED IN MYANMAR
Please join us in praying for two Baptist pastors in Myanmar who were arrested after helping a journalist to photograph a church that was destroyed during a military clash last year. The pastors, who are from an indigenous people group in Myanmar known as the Kachin, were arrested on Christmas Eve in 2016 and potentially face an eight-year prison sentence. Please pray that the authorities involved would show mercy and compassion in this situation, and that God would provide direction and wisdom to those who are advocating on behalf of these pastors. Also, please pray for their safety and health while they are in custody awaiting the final outcome of the charges. Remember to also lift up their families and congregations in prayer – that God would calm their fears and comfort them with his love and peace.
