WORLD AIDS DAY
December 1 is World AIDS Day. HIV continues to be a major global public health issue, says information from the World Health Organization (WHO). In 2016, one million people died from HIV-related causes globally. At the end of the year, there were approximately 36.7 million people living with HIV, says WHO. Guardians of Hope (GOH) is CBM’s strategic response to the global HIV and AIDS pandemic. Through the support of local partners and churches, the GOH project creates a safe place for those affected by HIV and AIDS, and provides them with resources and training. Please pray for the individuals, children and families we seek to serve in our projects in Africa and India. Pray for their health, protection and acceptance within local communities.
