Please join us in prayer this week as we remember those who are suffering due to the effects of poverty around the world. October 17 marked the 25th anniversary of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. The theme this year was “Answering the Call of October 17 to end poverty: A path toward peaceful and inclusive societies”. Please pray that government leaders and church communities would be moved with compassion to serve those living in extreme poverty around the world. May the barriers of discrimination and stigma be broken down, so that impoverished people would feel valued, included and respected. Also, please pray for the beneficiaries we seek to serve in our global project areas, as well as our field staff and local partners who are working on the frontlines – serving as the hands and feet of Jesus.
