Father God, In the name of Jesus, our King and Saviour, I humbly come before you today in prayer.
The year 2021 was very much like its predecessor – full of COVID-19 twists and turns. This led to lots of challenges for CBM and its partner in Rwanda, the Association of Rwandan Baptist Churches (AEBR). Many activities were planned for this year through the different projects which CBM and AEBR do together.
Greeting from Rwanda! As Canadians just celebrated Thanksgiving Day, we too joined them in saying “thanks to God” for the many blessings we receive each day.
AEBR addresses issues of illiteracy, poverty, and gender imbalance. Through literacy classes, coordinator training, and the support of self-help groups and parenting clubs, both men and women are empowered to transform families and communities. Support this project with financial contributions and prayer.
The Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) project aims to protect and improve the lives of kids at risk by securing their access to education through educational assistance, mentorship, and financial support. Support this project with financial contributions and prayer.
CBM partners with the Association of Baptist Churches in Rwanda (AEBR), offering support and assistance to tackle the issues of an over-burdened society coping with reconstruction and reconciliation. This project promotes positive change, and peace groups help overcome racism and prejudice and strengthen unity. Support this project through financial contributions and prayer.
In the span of 100 days, 800 thousand Rwandans were killed in the Rwandan genocide.
Close to 230 thousand Rwandans are living with HIV and AIDs.
