Winter is almost done in Bolivia!
I am Patty Nacho, and I serve from Bolivia as a Program Officer for Latin America, although… not for much longer! The year, as I mentioned in my other ministry update, started “Full Steam!” and I think it will end that way, too.
A significant change (some of you may have already seen on social media) is that starting September 1st, I will begin a transition period into my next role within CBM, which will be Team Lead for Latin America.
I thank God for the opportunity to serve in Latin America in a broader and more strategic way, but I will begin that transition with nerves because of all the new things to learn. I know God provided this opportunity and I will trust in His guidance and provision along the way.
Although these changes have been taking place over the last three months, something that I would also like to highlight is that in the month of June, I had the opportunity to make my first visit to the Dominican Republic to meet our partner IBAREDO and the various projects they carry out. It was a nice time of meeting and getting closer. Without a doubt, the church of God is on the move, seeking to be light and salt in its community. It was a short visit, but very good.
Additionally, I am grateful for my colleague Kathryn Scott as Field Staff in the Dominican Republic. It’s encouraging to see how God uses and guides her. I also shared with Bill Dyck as he leads the PDP program in Latin America with CBM.
This second semester is going to be busy, so I ask you to please pray for:
- Our partners in Latin America. They are already beginning to project their proposals for 2025.
- The next Program Officer for Latin America. Soon I will also be part of the on-boarding process.
- The grace of God to be with me during this transition and all that it will entail.
Thank you for your prayers that without a doubt are an encouragement to me.
Shalom!
