March 2025 – Executive Director Jennifer Lau gives an update on the latest news from CBM.
Hello friends,
As we move forward into 2025, we want to give thanks for the impact that we had together last year. In a year where we celebrated our 150th anniversary as Canadian Baptists on mission together, we are grateful that we were able to serve over 122,000 people, thanks to your generosity.
Your partnership helped us to build the church by equipping church leaders with theological and integral mission training to effectively share the gospel and supporting kids at risk, promoting justice by empowering women, alleviating poverty by providing food assistance and responding to times of crisis by providing relief for refugees.
We know that God is at work in so many ways, and we are grateful to play our part in what he is doing to transform lives as we continue to work alongside our partners in 30 countries.
As we look ahead in 2025, here are three things that we are excited about:
- In the next issue of Wordeed Magazine, we’re exploring partnership and how it helps to shape and inform everything we do at CBM.
- Speaking of partnerships, we have 2 new partnerships underway this year – Shalom Tribal Trust in India and the AEBC in Central Africa Republic. We invite you to join us in praying for these new partners and the ways God will use them to transform lives in the communities they serve.
- We also invite you and your church to stand in unity with the global church on Solidarity Sunday, happening May 25th. Resources will be available on our website soon.
