Special Prayer Request

Our world is facing “unprecedented” change and challenge, and so is the church. My hope for the world is in God’s People, Christ’s Church. In just nine days I will be in Bogotá, Colombia with some 500 Latin American church leaders for four full days of focus on discipleship and church renewal (March 24-29). These leaders will represent 14 different organizations and denominations including: the Union of Baptists of Latin America; The Christian and Missionary Alliance; Assemblies of God; Alpha; CRU (formerly Campus Crusade); and Discipleship and Pastoring of Pastors, which has organized the event and through whom I have been strengthening the pastors of CBM’s partners in Latin America. I have had leaders from five Baptist denominations in five countries in my training events and Pastoring of Pastors groups. Eleven of these leaders that I’ve been working with will be attending this event with me. I’m praying that this will be a time of inspiration and anointing for all participants, but especially for the leaders that I’ve been working with.
Please pray that:
- God will prepare the hearts of each participant to receive what God has for them—to prepare the soil of each soul.
- God will look after the logistical details. One participant from Cuba is still awaiting a visa; others have never travelled internationally before. Pray for safety during travel and that all goes smoothly.
- My group will grow closer as a team, be an inspiration to one another, and that this might be just another step toward future cooperation.
- Pray for guidance in relation to follow up.
- Pray for all the presenters, group sessions, small groups, meals together, prayer times, etc.
This events has been planned for years. It’s coming at a crucial time. Thanks in advance for you prayer support.
