Greetings from Musanze, Rwanda!
Greetings to you brothers and sisters in the name of our Saviour and Lord Jesus. Here above is my wife, my children and one son in law. This ministry update highlights activities from January to June 2026.
Peace and Reconciliation Ministry in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, and Rwanda
From February to June, four Peacebuilding training sessions were held in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, equipping church leaders to become agents of peace and reconciliation in their communities.
Democratic Republic of the Congo
In February, I facilitated a two-day Peacebuilding training for 50 participants from the CBCA Goma District, including pastors, youth leaders, Sunday school leaders, and women leaders. During the training, participants completed the first three modules of the Peacebuilding curriculum.
Peacebuilding Training with AEBR Rwanda
- Two additional peacebuilding training sessions were held with 20 participants from AEBR Rwanda’s Kigali Region, including pastors and young leaders.
- The first session took place in March, where participants completed the first three modules of the Peacebuilding curriculum.
- The second session was held in June and covered the remaining three modules, including Conflict Management, Repentance, and Forgiveness.
- One particularly moving moment came during the session on Repentance and Forgiveness. A woman who survived the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi shared her testimony of forgiving the family responsible for killing her parents. Her story deeply impacted the participants and served as a powerful example of the transforming power of forgiveness.
Looking Ahead
Over the next six months, we are planning several key ministry activities:
- Assess and train a new peacebuilding group in South Sudan composed of influential women, military representatives, refugee camp leaders, and pastors.
- Facilitate Integral Mission training in South Sudan.
- With the invitation of 21Wilberforce and the Baptist World Alliance (BWA), and with CBM’s approval, travel to Thailand to serve as a peacebuilding facilitator for pastors from Myanmar and Thailand, as well as members of the Myanmar diaspora.

I am deeply grateful to CBM’s leadership for their continued support and encouragement throughout this ministry. Through regular meetings, wise counsel, training resources, and financial support, you have equipped me to carry out this work faithfully, including throughout 2026.
I am also thankful for my colleagues on the CBM Africa team. Their friendship, collaboration, and encouragement continue to inspire and strengthen me in this ministry. I especially appreciate the guidance and support of our Africa Team Leader, whose advice and encouragement over the years have been invaluable.
My sincere thanks also go to the many churches and partners who faithfully support this ministry through CBM. It is encouraging each month to see the generosity of individuals and congregations who make this work possible. Your emails, prayers, and words of encouragement have given me strength to persevere, especially during challenging times.
Your prayers and financial support continue to help CBM and its church partners across Africa fulfill their mission through ministries such as peace and reconciliation in communities affected by war, ethnic division, injustice, and poverty.
