Word&Deed Newsletter – July 2026

Greetings, 

As we move through July, many across Canada have marked Canada Day by gathering with family and friends and reflecting on the communities we call home. In the midst of summer rhythms, this is also a moment to pause and remember that life often holds celebration and sorrow at the same time. We give thanks for moments of joy and community, even as we remain aware of the pain and uncertainty being experienced by others around the world.

This month, we are especially mindful of communities in Venezuela that are grieving loss and beginning the long journey of recovery following the recent earthquakes. The contrast is striking, but it reminds us of an important truth: our lives are deeply connected to one another. When one part of the global family rejoices, we give thanks. When another suffers, we are called to respond with prayer, compassion, and generosity.

As you read this month’s updates, we invite you to pause, pray, and reflect on the stories of people walking alongside one another in times of joy and in times of need. May they encourage us to remain attentive to where God is at work and ready to participate in his mission, both near and far.
