Word&Deed Newsletter – September 2026

September always feels like a month with a lot in motion.

Summer rhythms are giving way to fall ones. Churches are beginning a new ministry season, families are settling back into routines, and here at CBM, some things we’ve been working toward for months are finally ready to share.

The new issues of Wordeed Magazine and Seasons of Prayer are arriving in homes and churches. Active in Mission is coming to a close after a summer of participation across Canada. Our fall appeal is just beginning. One season is wrapping up while another is already taking shape.

And then, late last week, news came from Nepal of devastating flash floods and landslides. Our partners there are responding, and alongside the things we had planned to share with you this month, we’re inviting you to respond with us — to pray for the people and communities affected, and to give toward the emergency response.

Any of our circumstances can change quickly. Plans shift. Needs emerge. What we thought the next few days or weeks would look like can change without much warning. I’m grateful for the relationships that mean we don’t have to respond alone — whether we’re walking through what we expected or something we never saw coming.
