The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it (Psalm 24:1)

A Heartfelt Message

Dear brothers and sisters,
Words cannot fully capture the depth of my gratitude for having you behind the curtain, offering your unwavering support as I navigate the ministry in the MENA region. Your kindness, prayers, and presence have touched my heart in ways I can hardly express. I am deeply honoured and profoundly humbled by your generosity, and I’m continually moved by your faithfulness. I pray that the Lord pours His abundant blessings upon you, just as you have so richly blessed me with your love and encouragement.

Ministry Reflections

What an adventurous nine months I’ve had with CBM so far. As we reach out to individuals and churches across the MENA region, we witness doors opening to advance church ministry. Our focus is on empowering leaders to guide both present and future generations toward vibrant congregations where Jesus is the center—the source of salvation and the only hope for the world through word and deed.
What you see in the news reflects the long-standing turbulence of our region, but these days are far from ordinary. We are witnessing unprecedented change—regimes falling, systems in conflict, immense material losses, and a staggering number of innocent casualties. And yet, in the midst of this, God continues to open doors.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we look to 2025, we are filled with both plans and dreams. I say dreams because what we once envisioned as concrete plans only a few months ago has, in the face of rapid and unforeseen changes in the region, transformed into postponed aspirations. These plans, once full of hope and direction, have now become dreams for the future. Yet, amid these shifts, new opportunities are emerging, allowing us to support the church in its mission to be a beacon of hope in the midst of suffering and struggle.
New avenues are opening to assist the ministry of the church across several parts of the MENA region. While the specific contexts vary, the common thread is that churches are striving to be faithful witnesses to Christ’s love in places marked by uncertainty, restrictions, and, at times, conflict.

Regional Ministry Highlights

In several areas of the region, Christian leaders are navigating complex challenges, such as wars, uncertainty, limited resources and local conflicts. Despite this, our local partners are demonstrating diligence and perseverance.
• We continue to organize non formal training sessions focused on peacebuilding, inner peace and governance for leaders unable to leave their countries or have lots of challenges within their context. These sessions equip them to return with practical tools to strengthen their churches and serve their communities.
• In some locations facing active conflict, our local partners are leading both relief efforts and spiritual support. They are equipping others to respond compassionately to displaced families, care for the wounded, and offer a tangible expression of Christ’s love in fragile settings.
• Where political climates or security concerns prevent direct engagement, we are exploring creative solutions to sustain ministry—sometimes through partnerships in neutral countries or digital resources that can cross obstacles.
• Emerging leaders are also being mentored in how to foster reconciliation in communities marked by divisions. These young church leaders are becoming bridge-builders, peacemakers, and voices of hope where hope is often in short supply.

“Christ began this work, and He will continue to bring transformation for His glory.”

Final Thoughts

I have had the privilege of serving in ministry across the MENA region for over 20 years, witnessing significant changes in many communities. Yet, today feels different on so many levels. While challenges are growing, so too is the work of ministry. Though fear may be on the rise, faith is flourishing even more.
Planting seeds in this land is undoubtedly difficult, but when we begin to see the fruit of our labour, we are reminded that we cannot stop. Christ began this work, and He will continue to bring transformation for His glory.
Thank you for your continued support, and may God bless you abundantly.
