Greetings from Bolivia!!
Hello dear brothers and sisters in Canada.
First of all, thanks for taking the time to read this update! How quickly time passes! It’s amazing how we are already finishing the 10th month of this year!
This past semester has been quite busy, and while there have been challenges, God’s answers have also been clear and propitious. For that I also want to thank you, for every prayer and expression of interest in ministry in Latin America.
One of the main tasks that had to be carried out was the LA Team Retreat and the 2nd LALE (Latin America Leadership Exchange). At first it didn’t sound so difficult, but as all the logistics activities were listed, it was undoubtedly complex.
Team Retreat
Team Retreat was a good time, where we were able to connect in different ways, although everyone within the team has known each other for a few years, it was the first time we had Team Retreat after all the changes in leadership in the region and within CBM.
It was a time of reflection to get to know each other better and to think about the relationships we have developed with partners in the 5 countries where we work. It was a great blessing for me to see how each member of the team shares with passion and enthusiasm the work of God in the countries where they live. It was also a time of reflection on some significant challenges of our partners.
Once our Team Retreat was over, we went directly to Guatemala City to participate in the LALE. Last year the 1st LALE took place in El Salvador, where basically the leaders of each of our partners were invited, that is, leaders from 4 countries met. The number of people was about 20.
Latin America Leadership Exchange
For the 2nd LALE my wish was that we could have more people, not only the leaders, but also people who work directly on the projects-initiatives related to the joint work with CBM.
The list grew and grew, and our partners applied several criteria to select their representatives. And so, we end up with a list of 58 people.
The meeting took place in Guatemala City, and we were able to have representatives from Bolivia, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Guatemala. In addition, the entire LA Global Staff participated.
It was two and a half days in which we were able to socialize, praise, and reflect together. This space allowed us to dimension a little more the work that all our partners do and see possible paths of cooperation.
It is just the beginning, but I believe that good fruits can occur when intentionally in common areas the body of God works in unity.
Gratitude
I thank God for all this time of learning in this new journey as a Team Leader for Latin America.
Thank you to my team who have also navigated these waters of change with grace and encouragement.
Thank you to each person who supports the entrusted ministry. Prayers, donations make this journey possible.
Thanks to the partners in the 5 countries who with all their service allow me to learn from them.
Prayer Requests
- Guidance on what 2026 will hold for each partner.
- Grace in front of all the people with whom I am related, may God use me to share his love in a real way.
- For encouragement and inspiration in the hard walk that our partners have to travel in the initiatives of justice and faith in their communities.
