OVERVIEW
India occupies the greater part of South Asia and is ranked the second-most populous country in the world, after China. Gross inequities are found in all regions of the country and overwhelming numbers continue to live in extreme poverty. CBM was among the first mission organizations to devolve properties and leadership positions to the national church in India and Bolivia.
OUR PROJECTS IN INDIA
Supporting children at risk
Children and youth, especially girls vulnerable to exploitation, are empowered through literacy training and the support of a hostel to provide opportunities.
Training leaders
Education for young women and theological training are established through Christian seminaries, schools and programs to equip church and community leaders.
Ensuring medical care in rural areas
Guardian of Hope HIV and AIDS programs and medical services provide medical care for poor families, including those living in remote regions lacking basic health services.
