Hello friends, We’re Tim and Kallie Hutton, Global Field Staff with CBM in Bolivia. The new year comes with a new vision that brings hope and anticipation.
It is now two years and ten months since CBM sent me to work with a new partner in Congo called* Baptist Churches Community in Eastern Congo. But since January 2022, I was also asked to work with other CBM partners, like CBCA in Congo, AEBR in Rwanda and FEBAC in South Sudan. Today, I am working with 4 CBM partners in three countries; DRC, Rwanda and South Sudan.

I want to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for your continuous prayer and faithful support of CBM. Please pray for the participants of our peacebuilding programs. May they actively seek peace and reconciliation as they interact with their neighbours and communities. Pray for the pastors and district leaders as they lead peacebuilding activities. Pray that God will continue to give our partners in various African countries strength and inspiration as they continue to serve in the midst of violence, poverty, and conflicts between neighbouring countries in the great lakes regions.
Gato joined CBM in 2018 as a Peace and Reconciliation Specialist in Africa, having worked for CBM from 2007 to 2013. Gato supports CBM’s partners in peacebuilding in the region and has developed a Peace & Reconciliation curriculum that is the basis for his work.

It is now one year and eleven months since I was sent by CBM to work with a new partner in Congo which is called “Baptist Churches Community in Eastern Congo”. This denomination had been split in two since 1997 until 2018 due to ethnic conflict where one group was called the majority and the second group the minority.
