Pray with Michael Waddell
Michael Waddell2022-06-27T12:03:22-04:00Hello everyone! My name is Michael Waddell, and I serve as Senior Associate for Faith + Work, and I oversee all CBM’s work in the Philippines with our partners there.
Michael, along with his wife Melanie, was appointed as Global Field Staff serving in the Philippines in August 2015. They relocated to Canada in April 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Melanie has now concluded her service as Field Staff and has her own private practice offering counselling therapy for individuals and families.
Michael has a Master of Arts in Theology from Acadia Divinity College and is an ordained minister with Canadian Baptist of Atlantic Canada (CBAC).
The Waddells spent 14 years in the business world, as well as 5 years serving as Directors of a Baptist owned Christian camp in New Brunswick, before sensing that God was leading them to something new.
Michael and Melanie have four growing children: Kyla, Sean, Carter and Allie.

Here in my small community in New Brunswick, signs of Spring are starting to emerge. The snow is almost gone, birds are returning, warmth is returning to the sun, and our days are getting longer. All of these signs point to new life emerging from the ground that was once covered by snow and ice
A new year has brought about many new opportunities for CBM to engage with our partners around the world in embracing a broken world through word and deed. In the Philippines, CBM partners with Kabuganaan Philippines Ministries (KPM) in a wide range of Integral Mission programs.
As the Fall season comes to a close, and as the realities of Winter begin to set in, I'm taking time to pause and reflect upon the past few months and all that has unfolded.
Our Lord and our God, Together with my Canadian Baptist family, I give you thanks and praise for your unending faithfulness that extends to every generation.
It's amazing how many beautiful places there are in New Brunswick that we have never visited. Last summer we had the opportunity to visit Deer Island for the first time, and this summer we finally visited Grand Manan Island.
Our Lord and our God, We give you praise and thanks for your relentless love, your abounding grace, and your unending compassion.
Since 2016, our family has been honoured to work alongside our Philippine partners, Kabuganaan Philippines Ministries (KPM), in serving poor and marginalized communities throughout Capiz province in the western Visayas region of the country.
