As a grandmother, witnessing these milestones brings back memories of my own children as they grew as individuals. Being part of a group was a natural next step. Sports were an important factor in this process.
Children need special care and attention in the best of circumstances, but amid tragedy and devastation, their needs are much greater. Children are resilient, but they require our help to ensure true and lasting healing from the traumas of war, disaster and loss.

Spring is often a time of new life and renewal as the last chill of winter gives way to warmer days and a fresh start. These last few years of the pandemic along with a series of catastrophic events around the world, in a way, have been like an extended and brutal winter.
In this “Kids Care Peacemaker” lesson we learn about how God wants us to restore peace in our relationships and take care of each other. We explore Fiza’s story who is from South Sudan. Fiza chose to be a peacemaker despite the challenges she faces. Throughout the Bible, God shows us how we are to care for each other and live peacefully.
In this “Kids Care Peacemaker” lesson we’ll learn how to trust God and hold his peace in our hearts no matter the circumstances. Through the story of Jesus calming the storm and Luis in Bolivia, we explore what it means to know that God is taking care of everything.
This “Kids Care Peacemaker” lesson focuses on being a good neighbour. We meet Naomie from the Democratic Republic of Congo who joined the Peace Club and helped promote peace among her schoolmates. Revisiting the Good Samaritan story, we will learn what it means to empathize with people who are different from us and to live peacefully together.

We will learn about Maria and her grandmother who is a storyteller from the Indigenous community. We'll also read about the Good Samaritan and how God wants us to show compassion and work towards healing.
