Mississauga, Ontario –  Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Julia Bowering to the position of Team Lead, International Programs effective March 16, 2020.

Julia will be responsible for assessing needs, designing programs and monitoring and evaluating international projects. She will be working with the International Partnerships team to help ensure program objectives align with outcomes. Julia’s expertise in strategic planning, capacity building and leadership development will be a great asset to CBM and its network of global partners.

Julia comes with experience in overseeing community development projects, including one in Uganda, as well as extensive pastoral experience. Most recently, she served as the Associate Pastor at King’s Community Church in Oakville, Ontario. She holds a Master of Divinity from Regent College and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in International Development from the University of Guelph.

Having degrees in both theology and international development, Julia brings a unique integration of theological reflection with practical development expertise. As an ordained minister within our Canadian Baptist family, Julia has experience serving alongside a diverse range of people. This is a definite asset as she interacts with our partners worldwide, as well as churches in Canada.
