Chagas in Bolivia

CBM continues to partner with local church communities to prevent the spread of Chagas disease. A silent killer among the poor, Chagas is transmitted by an insect that thrives in the adobe walls and thatched roofs of rural Bolivian homes. The disease can go undetected for years, and it slowly destroys internal organs – particularly the heart. Please pray that our efforts to raise awareness among vulnerable communities would continue to be effective. Pray also that those infected would detect the disease at an early stage and have access to the medical attention they need. We praise God for the Canadians who have partnered with local communities through CBM to renovate homes over the years. As we serve the needs represented in these Bolivian communities, may they sense the love of God extended to them in abundance.
