Coordinator, Youth and Young Adult Engagement Part-Time, Remote

With Faith, Hope and Love CBM works strategically alongside a network of partners in 14 countries, addressing issues associated with Poverty, Justice, Kids at Risk, Building the Church and Crisis Response.

We are presently seeking a Coordinator, Youth and Young Adult Engagement to assist in the development of global discipleship initiatives specific to youth and young adults.

This role is a remote role and is part-time at 8 hours per week. The position will require travel, both regionally and nationally, as well as attendance at events on weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the development of global discipleship initiatives specific to youth and young adults
    • creation of global discipleship curriculum for camping ministries and training of camp leaders
    • fundraising initiatives,
    • special projects, etc.
  • Connect with youth pastors/leaders across Canada educating them on CBM/SENT materials available for global discipleship with youth; develop additional resources as needed.
  • Explore and implement partnership opportunities with regional youth events such as ONE Conference, Blizzard/Avalanche, Tidal Impact and SERVE.
  • Represent CBM on Canadian Baptist Youth Team

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Must accept CBM’s Core Values (see www.cbmin.org)
  • Willing to sign off on CBM’s Code of Conduct
  • Demonstrates initiative
  • Ability to prioritize own work within departmental items
  • Familiar with Canadian Baptist Constituency an asset
  • Well-organized and process-oriented thinker; attention to detail
  • Exposure to, and understanding of, cross cultural issues
  • Experience in youth and/or young adult ministry
  • Professional presentation/speaking skills
  • Must have a valid drivers license
