The 2019 novel coronavirus (2019 nCoV) outbreak was first seen in Wuhan, China in December of 2019, then spreading within China and to a number of other countries. For more information watch this video from the World Health Organization:
As of February 4, 2020, WHO reports 20,471 confirmed cases and 425 deaths in China.
There is an extreme shortage of medical supplies both in smaller communities and in the larger city of Wuhan, where aid is often prioritized. This means that smaller cities are in danger of food and medical supplies shortages. The lack of medical equipment is a hindrance to detecting and treating new patients and preventing more deaths.
Through Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) you can financially support crisis response in China. Your donation will help provide food and assistance to marginalized families at risk. Thank you for your generosity and faithful support.
