CBM is working with a local partner in El Salvador, ENLACE, to support health and sanitation within impoverished communities. Through the latrine project, families are able to replace their pit latrines with composting latrines, which prevent waste from contaminating water sources. Nearly half of El Salvador’s rural population suffers from inadequate waste disposal that leads to waterborne diseases. Please pray for local leaders and church communities as they seek to partner with us in this initiative. Please pray that they would effectively deliver waste disposal education, health awareness training and technical support to the community. We also pray that waterborne diseases would significantly reduce in the areas where we work. We pray especially for children under the age of five, as they are most vulnerable to the effects of contaminated water sources. May our partnership with ENLACE continue to help community members to improve their overall health and ability to thrive.
