December 10 is Human Rights Day and this year marks the 70th anniversary of this day. According to the United Nations, “Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion or any other status”. This means “right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education, and many more.” All humans “are entitled to these rights without discrimination.” Pray that every single person in the world will be able live out these rights, and for all people who are striving to tear down barriers for those whose rights are violated. Pray for each one of CBM’s programs and projects, which aim to help the marginalized own and protect their human rights.
