December 10 is the United Nations’ Human Rights Day. “This year, Human Rights Day marks the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a milestone document that proclaimed the inalienable rights which everyone is inherently entitled to as a human being – regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status,” says information from the UN. Please pray that the basic human rights of children and individuals would be upheld around the world. Please pray for CBM’s programs that help children to access education, assist women with literacy training, and provide alternative sources of income. Also, remember the Syrian refugees that receive support through our projects in Lebanon. As we seek to help alleviate the effects of poverty, may the love of Jesus shine brightly through our service.
