In partnership with IBAREDO, CBM supports the ministerial development of pastors in rural and impoverished urban communities of the Dominican Republic. The project offers pastors regular meetings, mentorship, and essential resources to develop Christian leadership. Support this project with financial contributions and prayer.
The Dominican Republic has a population of just over 10 million people and close to 85 percent of its inhabitants live in urban areas. Living in small rural and poor urban communities, many pastors are bi-vocational, working another job while ministering to their congregations to support their families. Impoverished areas in the Dominican Republic are not often able to financially support their local church. Pastors can be isolated and caught between the pressures of supporting their families and their local church. Further, many church leaders do not have access to ministerial and theological training or basic resources for their ministry. Care for pastors and their families, and the development of their ministerial competencies is a need for church leaders in the different regions of the Dominican Republic. IBAREDO and CBM offer training, mentorship, and financial support to strengthen the leadership of pastors, and the impact of local churches.
