Dear God,

We praise You, You are the Lord of Lords, King of Kings, no matter how difficult the situation is around the world right now, we know you are still in control.

Today, we would like to pray for Myanmar, a country that is suffering right now. Since the coup in February, people have protested against the military regime and more than 700 lives were killed. The military has tried to suppress the protest by shooting and killing the people, burning down homes, killing young people and even children. Father God, we pray for your intervention so that the military will stop oppressing their own people.

We pray for your peace upon the country. We pray for the students and alumni of TBTI (Thailand Bethel Theological Institute). God, please give them strength and courage to face this dangerous situation. We also pray for churches and Christians to stand up and show the love of God to the hurting families. We pray for those who are helping at the frontlines – please protect them. We pray for our field staff Lilian and Joseph; may you grant them wisdom and opportunities to extend a helping hand to their own country.

We also pray for the COVID situation globally. There are countries in very difficult positions, such as India. Father, we pray that your peace and comfort be upon those who have lost their loved ones. We ask that your strength and wisdom be upon our colleagues who have to minister to these families. We pray that the vaccination can be rolled out as soon as possible and to as many as possible so that more people can be protected.

We pray for CBM and the leadership team. God, please grant them the wisdom and strength and power to lead during this chaotic time.

We also pray for our mission partners. Thank you for their faithfulness to support CBM. Bless each one of them and give them good health and protect them in this pandemic.

We thank you Lord for new members in the Chinese Ministries Team- Joseph, in the Golden Triangle; Philipp, who recently married XiaoDan in early April; MuYan, the baby boy added to Yuan Chuan and Gao Ming’s family. Dear God, please protect each member on our team, may you give them good health and strength to serve you, so that they may continue to be a blessing to those around them.

We also thank you for a safe trip back to Toronto and that we have completed our quarantine. May God continue to grant us good health and energy as we serve. May this relocation give us a broader and wider scope to serve you and our churches. May your name be lifted high.
