Hi! My name is Julia Wall-Bowering and I am the Team Lead for International Programs here at CBM.  That means I get to lead a team of program officers who support our partners as they carry out their projects around the world. It also means that I get to keep an eye on growing needs around the world and listen to our partners to find out how they are being called by God to address these needs.  Would you pray with me this week?

One of the things that is on my mind right now is the severity of the food crisis around the world. It is becoming increasingly difficult for vulnerable families to access the food and nutrition that they need.  There are a lot of factors exacerbating this.  The Pandemic disrupted supply chains and left many communities economically vulnerable. Farmers around the world are struggling to adapt to changing climates and conflict, most notably the war in Ukraine, which has displaced millions of people and caused major disruptions in access to food and agricultural inputs.

Please pray for our partners as they adapt their programming to meet the growing needs around them. Many of them are working in areas of conflict and all of them are experiencing the pressure caused by inflation. Please pray that our team would be a helpful support to them and that they would feel the embrace of all the folks like you who are praying for them, cheering them on and sacrificially supporting the work God is calling them to do.

• Please pray for the communities our partners serve who are finding it increasingly difficult to put food on the table.
• Please pray for our partners as they stretch their resources to try and serve their communities in economically challenging times.
• Please pray for our partners in communities that are vulnerable to conflict as we see conflict increase around the world.
• Pray for our staff as they accompany our partners through these challenging days – for wisdom and insight and discernment.
• Please pray for our partners as they begin planning for 2023 programming – for creativity and energy and sensitivity to the needs of those around them.
