July 30 is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. This year’s campaign focuses on “responding to the trafficking of children and young people” – almost a third of trafficking victims around the world are children. “Every country in the world is affected by human trafficking, whether as a country of origin, transit, or destination for victims,” says information from the United Nations. Please pray for the millions of victims who are trafficked for the purposes of forced labour and sexual exploitation. Please also pray for the international community to take actions that would better safeguard children and ensure justice for victims. We pray that God would also grant wisdom to international leaders and a heart of compassion to advocate on behalf of those who are most vulnerable.
