North America
- (SENT) We invite you to pray for several teams preparing to serve globally in the coming weeks:
- Crandall Bachelor of Theology (BTh) students traveling to Kenya to partner with Africa Christian Church & Schools (ACC&S), supporting leadership development through a local Bible school, environmental stewardship initiatives, and mentorship programs;
- a team from Westview Calgary heading to Rwanda to serve with the Association of Baptist Churches in Rwanda (AEBR) as part of their STEP agreement (Short-Term Exposure Program), which fosters mutual learning and global partnership;
- and Bridle Trail Baptist traveling to Germany to serve alongside global staff Lewis Lam and Felain Lam in their local ministry. Pray for safe travel, deepened relationships, and meaningful opportunities to serve, learn, and be encouraged through these shared experiences.
Latin America and Caribbean
- Pray for Byron as he hosts the Crandall University SENT Team in Guatemala during the first week of May. Pray for unity, meaningful connection, and encouragement for all involved.
MENA
- Pray for Lebanon that the ceasefire would hold, and for peace in a region marked by ongoing war and pain. Pray for CBM staff and partners to be agents of hope, with wisdom and insight as they serve those affected by conflict with Christ’s love in word and deed.
Europe
- (Göttingen, Germany) Student Seekers & Worker Development
We thank God for many new student seekers joining the fellowship, even as others have graduated and moved on. In Bible study groups, seekers now outnumber believers. Pray for the Holy Spirit to draw them to Christ and shape humble, responsive hearts. Pray also for more workers to be raised up – leaders and caregivers who will walk alongside seekers with wisdom, love, and faithful presence.
Africa
- Pray for upcoming trips to Canada for team members Polisi and Andre, that their visits would foster meaningful connection and encouragement with supporters.
Asia
- (Philippines)– KPM Partner
Pray for KPM’s Lay Leaders Seminar early May, at Filamer Christian University, bringing together pastors and leaders from Capiz. Pray also for their time with the SENT PRAXIS group from Canada, led by CBM staff Adrian Gardner and Michael Waddell – that all would experience wisdom, unity, and transformation.
Asia
- (Nepal) Pray for Multipurpose Community Development Service as they await final project approval from the Social Welfare Council. Pray for the launch of Plumbing, Electrician, and Light Motor Vehicle Driving training programs.
Latin America and Caribbean
- Pray for the 20 pastors from the Bolivian Baptist Union attending a Discipleship Summit in Cochabamba (early May) that they would be inspired and equipped to apply what they’ve learned in their churches.
Europe
- (Kassel, Germany) United Life Camp – Please pray for United Life Camp with the Chinese churches of Kassel, Göttingen, and Marburg during Pentecost in May. Pray for all preparations, especially for short-term mission teams serving at the camp. Pray for safe travel, and that God would use and bless them greatly in their service.
MENA
- Pray for those in Lebanon who have lost their homes, that they would find shelter and the means toward stable, permanent housing amid ongoing economic hardship.
North America
- Pray for Atlantic Baptist Women gathering for InterMISSION, happening mid-May in Moncton, NB. Pray also for graduates of Acadia Divinity College this month, that their ministries would be blessed through their education.
Africa
- Pray for peace and stability in South Sudan, home to our partner denomination FEBAC. Ongoing tensions between the president and vice president continue to create instability and conflict among affiliated armed groups. Pray for wisdom, restraint, and hope amid uncertainty, especially as the country prepares for elections scheduled for December 2026.

Latin America and Caribbean
- Pray for Bill and Janice as they are in Cochabamba until mid-May – that they would be an encouragement to all they meet, and experience good health and safe travel home to Calgary.
North America
- (Western Canada) Pray for a team from Westview Baptist Church (Calgary) serving in Rwanda for the month. Pray for Canadian Baptists of Western Canada’s online assembly this month, for incoming Executive Minister, Clint Mix, the Board, and staff. Pray also for 11 candidates before the Ordination Examining Council and give thanks for the faithful service of Rob Ogilvie as he retires as Executive Minister in June.
Europe
- (Marburg) Seekers & Local Church Life
Pray for Chinese friends in Marburg who are exploring Christianity and Scripture but have not yet decided to follow Christ – that they would move from spectators to participants in discipleship with Jesus.
MENA
- Pray for churches acrossLebanon as they continue ministry in a context of repeated challenges – that they would be strengthened and sustained as they care for vulnerable communities.
Asia
- (India) Shalom Tribal Trust & Miqlat Ministry – Pray for Shalom Tribal Trust’s Lost but Found prison ministry in Mokokchung, Nagaland, especially for six inmates who recommitted their lives to Christ – that they would continue growing in faith and transformation. Pray also for an upcoming detox camp in May for alcohol recovery, and for willingness among participants to join. Additionally, give thanks for Miqlat Ministry’s Hospitality & Management workshop and the recent seminar on Love, Marriage, and Family at Miqlat Centre. Pray that the impact of these gatherings would continue to bear fruit – bringing healing, restored relationships, and renewed hope for godly family life.

- Pray for peace and security in central Africa, specifically for our partner denomination CBCA and our colleague Polisi Kivava.
MENA
- Pray for youth engaged in sports ministry with a church in the Egyptian Baptist Convention, that God would raise up and equip faithful workers and use this ministry as an open door for many to come to know Christ.
Africa
Latin America and Caribbean
- Pray for Patty as she serves in Guatemala and El Salvador. Pray for wisdom and grace in all her meetings, and for a meaningful time with the Crandall University SENT Team in Guatemala.
North America
- Pray for camp staff teams beginning their seasons and church summer students starting their roles. Pray for students graduating in uncertain times, that they would find rest and strength in Jesus.
Asia
- (Kazakhstan) – ABI & Baptist Union
Pray for Almaty Bible Institute as they run three Christian Leadership courses in May, and for provision to repair classrooms, offices, and the student hall. Pray also for the Baptist Union’s church planting work and for the Mission & Evangelism Conference happening early May – for God’s guidance, financial provision, strong organization, and hearts ready to receive and act on what is learned.
Europe
- (Marburg, Germany) Pray specifically for three Chinese Christian families with young children, asking for wisdom to balance their daily lives with ongoing evangelism and discipleship, pushing them closer to the Lord.

- Pray that, amid political uncertainty, conflict, and ongoing challenges across central Africa, South Sudan, and Rwanda, local churches, leaders, and ministry partners would remain rooted in Christ – serving with wisdom, perseverance, and hope as they continue to be faithful witnesses in their communities.
Europe
- (Göttingen, Germany) Joint Living Camp (late May) & SENT Team Visit (end of May) Please pray for the preparation of the Joint Living Camp, where fellowships from Göttingen, Kassel, and Marburg will gather with support from the Bridle Trail Baptist Church SENT team. Pray for spiritual renewal, meaningful fellowship, and smooth coordination. Pray also for the Lams as they lead preparations – for strength, unity, and protection, especially amid severe hay fever this season.
Latin America and Caribbean
- Pray for Tim and Kallie as they travel to La Paz to lead workshops on discipleship and mission. Pray for clarity, fruitfulness, and openness among those they serve.

Pray for pastors and leaders facing health challenges, asking for God’s healing, strength, and peace, as well as provision to help carry the financial burdens related to their care.
North America
- Please pray for the CBOQ Assembly at Brock University, happening early June, that it would be a grace-filled time of worship, prayer, fellowship, and discernment. Ask the Lord to deepen unity, encourage his people, and lead church leaders into renewed faith, wisdom, and growth.
Asia
- (Thailand) – TBTI & Southeast Asia Training
Pray for Thailand Bethel Theological Institute during summer break and upcoming student enrolment, that God would lead those called to ministry training ahead of the school year start. Pray also for a cross-cultural mission training trip involving eight leaders from Southeast Asia – that they would gain deeper understanding of God’s global mission, their own worldviews, and a stronger commitment to cross-cultural ministry support.
