- Pray for clarity and vision as CBM staff in Africa support partners and encourage ministry across the region.
Asia
- Myanmar – Pray for Myanmar, where many continue to face violence and instability. Ask for peace, safety, and God’s protection over children and families caught in conflict.
Europe
- Gottingen, Germany – Pray for Lewis and Felain Lam as they launch the “Quiet Time 100” Bible reading initiative on September 8. This two-year program will walk believers through Scripture with weekly Zoom fellowship groups. Ask God to create a deep hunger for His Word, and to equip group leaders with wisdom and grace.
Latin America and Caribbean
- Pray for Kathryn as she supports the LALE gathering in Guatemala at the end of September and helps restart the academic reinforcement program in six IBAREDO churches. Pray also for the newly elected JUBAREDO youth board as they begin serving for 2025–2027, asking God to guide them with vision and unity.
MENA
- Please pray for peace in the MENA region and for the new projects that are being prepared.
North America
- Pray for CBWC area ministry meetings happening in each of their regions this month. Ask God to strengthen pastors and leaders through times of listening, encouragement, and prayer together.
Asia
- Philippines – Pray for KPM as they host lay leader seminars in Capiz – Circuit A at San Antonio Baptist Church (Sept 27) and Circuit B at Christ Centered Church in Roxas City (Oct 4) – with about 50 participants each. Ask God to guide their planning for future projects to serve churches and communities, and to bless their ongoing care for vulnerable children in Libas and Nipa through education support and medical services.
Europe
- Göttingen – Pray for Lewis as he teaches in the “Quiet Time 100” Bible reading program. Ask God to bless the 31 participants with a deep hunger for his Word and to grant wisdom and grace for all group leaders.
- Kassel – On October 5, the church is hosting a Mid-Autumn Festival outreach. Pray for a spirit of evangelism, that brothers and sisters would share their testimonies and invite others to come to Sunday services.
- Marburg – Pray for two young women and one young man in the early stages of faith and have the desire to learn more about God and the Christian faith. Pray for Xiaodan and Philipp as they begin faith and discipleship courses with them. Ask God to grow their faith beyond head knowledge so they experience the transforming power of his Word.
Latin America and Caribbean
- Pray for Kathryn Scott and Byron Velasquez as they are on Canadian Assignment this month. Pray for Kathryn as she has the opportunity to share about how God is at work in the Dominican Republic with churches, WMS groups, and more in Atlantic Canada. Pray for Byron as he shares about his ministry with churches in Ontario and Atlantic Canada.
MENA
- Pray for our partners in Lebanon supporting migrant domestic workers who have suffered abuse under the “kafala” sponsorship system. Many of these migrant women are abused or abandoned by their sponsors, then thrown in jail if they run away or overstay their visa. Ask God to strengthen this ministry of legal, spiritual, and practical care for these women.
North America
- Pray for churches in Canada as they gather for Thanksgiving this month. Ask that gratitude would overflow in renewed witness and acts of love within their communities.
Africa
- Pray for churches in Rwanda, which have remained closed for more than a year. Ask God to provide encouragement and perseverance for pastors and congregations.

- Göttingen – Pray for four upcoming New Student Orientation events: German Life & Law Seminar, Learning Experience Sharing, Gospel Tea Gathering, and a One-Day Outing. Ask the Holy Spirit to draw seekers and students to encounter Christ through these gatherings.
- Kassel – Pray for welcome events for new university students beginning this semester. Ask God to use these activities to introduce many to the church and to Christ.
Latin America and Caribbean
- Pray for Tim and Kallie Hutton as they work with our partners to plan out budgets and proposals for 2026 – a season of dreaming together and creative problem solving.
MENA
- Pray for CBM church partners in Lebanon who continue to serve faithfully in the long aftermath of conflict. Ask God to grant them rest and renewed energy.
North America
- Pray for Byron Velásquez and Kathryn Scott as they meet with churches across Atlantic Canada this month. Ask God to use their visits to inspire greater vision for global mission.
Africa
- Pray for stability and peace in Eastern DRC. Ask God to protect communities and guide leaders toward just and lasting solutions.
Asia
- Kazakhstan – Pray for the Almaty Bible Institute during its accreditation review (Oct 1–4), asking God to grant success so their bachelor’s program can continue serving churches. Pray also for new permanent teachers to be raised up, and for Lyudmila, one of the Institute’s employees, as she recovers from surgery. Lift up the Union of Evangelical Christians-Baptists as they prepare for re-elections, plant new churches, and develop emerging leaders.
Latin America and Caribbean
- Pray for the connections that were built during the Latin America Leadership Exchange (LALE) last month – that they would continue to grow as we walk alongside one another in partnership.
MENA
- Pray for leaders who attended ABTS’s Middle East Consultation. Ask God to use this gathering to strengthen partnerships and equip churches for faithful witness in the region.
North America
- Pray for the Kurios gap-year program as students prepare for a five-week cross-cultural experience in Guatemala. Ask God to deepen their faith and give them a vision for global mission.
Africa
- Pray for CBM staff and partners across Africa as they travel to meet with churches. Ask God for health, safety, and encouragement in ministry.
Asia
- Thailand & Myanmar – Pray for the ongoing Nursing Aide training program in Yangon, that teachers and trainees would stay healthy and committed as they prepare for future work. Ask God to guide the planning of nine new projects set to launch in 2026, and to bless local partners in Northern Thailand with a fruitful harvest from their fish, pig, and cattle farming initiatives that support ministry sustainability.
Europe
- Göttingen – Pray for the restart of student and family meditation groups led by Felain – students biweekly on campus and families monthly in their home. Ask God to awaken spiritual hunger, guide participants into deeper prayer practices, and deepen their intimacy with him.
- Kassel – Pray for two short-term mission teams from Chinese churches in Canada visiting this month. Ask God to bless their journey, strengthen their ministry, and encourage local believers.
- Marburg – Pray for outreach among new Chinese university students in Marburg this fall. Ask God to help the church make warm connections and provide a welcoming Christian community.

- Pray for upcoming regional gatherings in Egypt focused on family discipleship. Ask God to guide discussions and strengthen churches in their vision for ministry.
- Pray for the launch of new educational centres in Egypt this month. Ask God to bless these initiatives as they provide opportunities for learning and witness in their communities.
North America
- Pray for wisdom and perseverance for church leaders in Rwanda as they prepare for capacity-building events this month.
Africa

- India (Soura Baptists) – Pray for Rev. Jahn Raika as he recovers from serious illness, and for pastors, evangelists, and leaders serving across the 34 ministry areas of the Soura Baptists. Ask God to bless the Project Management Training and Capacity Building workshop in Dimapur later this month, that they would strengthen churches for ministry.
Europe
- Göttingen – Pray for Lewis and Felain as they travel to preach and teach in Hamburg, Marburg, and Bielefeld this month. Ask God to grant safe travels, physical strength, and Spirit-led words that will build up the churches.
- Kassel – Pray for the health of brothers and sisters in the Kassel church, as well as for Yuanchuan and Ming and their family. Ask God to sustain them with strength and joy in ministry. Pray for ongoing evangelism and discipleship ministries in Kassel, that believers would share Christ boldly and that many would come to faith through their witness.
Latin America and Caribbean
- Pray for Bill and Janice as they return to Canada from a trip to Latin America. Pray for the continued blessing over the pastoring of pastors work that Bill is helping to facilitate.
