Pray for the Middle East Consultation taking place as part of the new academic season at ABTS, with attendees coming from various parts of the world. Ask God to guide the event and those participating.
- Göttingen – SEND Team
Pray for the short-term mission team from Mississauga Chinese Baptist Church serving in Göttingen, Clausthal, and Kassel later in October through Chinese medical clinics, student outreach, personal care, and new-student orientation activities. Ask God to bless the preparations and use their presence to strengthen the Chinese communities in each city.
- Kazakhstan – Almaty Bible Institute
Give thanks for the 35th school year of Almaty Bible Institute and pray for many more years of teaching ministry. Pray for smooth admissions and theological education across its Christian leadership, church-planting, and Caucasus programs, for the funds needed to repair classrooms, dormitory, student hall, chapel, and gym, and for a successful accreditation process.

East Africa – Rain & Harvest
Pray for timely and sufficient rain as the prolonged summer continues. As dry conditions are increasing the risk of hunger and famine in some communities and could affect the January harvest, pray that the rains will come in the right amount to sustain farmers’ efforts to grow food.
- Canadian Thanksgiving
Pray for Canadian churches as they mark Thanksgiving through special services, dinners, events, and offerings. May we be truly thankful for God’s blessings to his Church and to us, and learn from our global partners how to live with compassion, care, and generosity toward those in need spiritually, physically, and emotionally.
- Bogotá, Colombia – DPP Leadership Gathering
Pray for the upcoming gathering in Bogotá with national leaders and co-leaders of Discipleship and Pastoring of Pastors (DPP), including Nelson and Orlando representing El Salvador. Pray also for wisdom in following up from the recent training events in Guatemala and El Salvador, where about 120 pastors and approximately 115 other leaders, spouses, and others participated.
- Guatemala & El Salvador – Food Security & 2027 Planning
Pray for meetings with farmers and churches in Guatemala and El Salvador as the team seeks to better understand the food security crisis. Pray also for the planning process with CBM’s partners for 2027 and for wisdom in the different meetings taking place.

Pray for CBM partner Kabuganaan Philippine Ministries (KPM) as they care for preschool children facing illness, support scholarship students through their education, and prepare for a Lay Leaders Training Seminar that will encourage greater dedication to ministry.

DR Congo & South Sudan – Travel and Ministry Challenges
Pray for Africa Team members whose travel and work have been affected by the Ebola crisis and political instability in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan. Pray for wisdom, flexibility, and protection as they adjust to changing circumstances and seek to continue their ministry.

Pray for the preparations and sessions of the New Student Orientation in Göttingen throughout October, including practical guidance for life in Germany, gospel sharing and personal testimonies, and opportunities to build meaningful relationships. Pray for the many countries experiencing conflict across the region, where countless lives are affected and the number of casualties continues to be staggering. Pray for those suffering and for peace amid these conflicts.
- Germany – Bible Study Training
Pray for the online Bible study training being offered to lay leaders in Göttingen, Kassel, and Marburg. Ask God to equip faithful teachers who handle Scripture with wisdom, serve with humility, and help believers grow in Christ.
- Nepal & India – Ministry and Community Renewal
Pray for the implementation of the Multipurpose Community Development Service (MCDS) flood and landslide emergency relief program in Nepal, as well as its youth job-skills training, planned disaster-risk-reduction recovery projects, and Round Table Meeting. Pray also for the October detox and rehabilitation program in India for five people struggling with alcohol addiction and for the two-day spiritual camp for 58 prisoners.
