On October 29th, 2022, Typhoon Nalgae (known in the Philippines as Paeng) struck the Philippine Islands in Mindanao and the central Visayas region, which includes Capiz Province where our partner, Kabuganaan Philippines Ministries (KPM) serves.  Nalgae is the twenty-second named tropical storm of the season, and the fifth in the month of October.  Due to heavily saturated grounds caused by the rainy season, the severe tropical storm, which carried heavy and prolonged rain, caused widespread and continuous flooding and landslides.  This caused significant damage to crops, livestock, roads, homes, and businesses.  To date, it is reported that over 100 people have lost their lives because of this severe tropical storm.  Many individuals and families in communities throughout Capiz province have experienced tremendous loss.  There is an immediate need for food, clean drinking water, and other essential supplies, such as mosquito repellant.
