Creating Child Friendly Spaces (MERATH)

Project Overview
Cause: Kids at Risk
Location: Lebanon

Child Friendly Spaces (CFS) is an initiative that enables LSESD’s community partners in Syria to continue to respond to the identified protection needs of children in several ways. CFS acts as a protective environment for children, providing a safe physical space in which they can participate in organized psychosocial activities such as play, learning, and socializing with other children. The provision of this safe space reduces children’s risks of becoming involved in child labor and early marriage or sexual exploitation, and significantly improves children’s psychosocial wellbeing as they regain a sense of routine and normalcy and can process difficult experiences in a secure environment.
