Guatemala – Business Skills Training (CIBG)

Poverty among the indigenous people of the Kekchi in Guatemala is very acute, particularly among young people, which hinders access to education and often results in involvement in illicit economic activities or emigration. This project aims to open an alternative path for Kekchi youth by providing small business training in areas such as raising pigs or chickens, making clothes and furniture and automotive work. The project will also provide participants with initial supplies and tools necessary to get them started.
