This project supports a school in Lebanon for refugees who otherwise would not have access to education. The project located in the town of Zahle, Lebanon and near the informal tented settlement of Fayda, Lebanon, in the Bekaa Valley, seeks to fill the gap in access to education for refugee children by providing quality basic literacy and numeracy education with psychosocial support in a safe, protective environment. True Vine brings students to learn at the center in Grade level groups, once a week. Each grade is split into small groups and divided between the six classrooms at the center. Both learning centers offer a basic curriculum of Arabic, English and Mathematics, and integrate life-skills training in health, hygiene, inter-personal skills, and self-discipline into the larger curriculum. The education center in Zahle, Lebanon, will also offer science and begins each day with a 30-minute chapel time.
