Each year, CBM creates a dynamic camp curriculum for Canadian Baptist summer camps. Designed for children and youth, these resources equip leaders to explore global issues like poverty and justice in ways that are interactive, meaningful, and age-appropriate.
Through games, creative activities, and guided conversations, campers discover how these challenges impact communities around the world and how they can respond with compassion, grounded in God’s love. Flexible and easy to adapt, the curriculum fits a variety of camp settings, schedules, and age groups, making it simple to integrate into your program.

Kenya

This year, campers will journey to Kenya, where CBM partners with ACC&S (Africa Christian Church & Schools) to support children and families facing vulnerable situations.
Vulnerability can take many forms – limited income, unstable employment, exposure to addiction, or a lack of strong support systems. In many of the rural communities where ACC&S churches serve, families rely on small-scale farming and tea cultivation to survive. These regions often face barriers to healthcare, education, clean water, and economic opportunity, and dependence on agriculture leaves families especially vulnerable to drought and flooding.
Through CBM’s Kids at Risk project, local churches are helping families navigate these challenges. The program supports education by covering school and meal fees for 100 students each year and offering mentorship to build confidence and hope. It also strengthens food security through kitchen gardens, livestock care, and savings groups, while creating pathways for economic growth through shared financial supports and skill-building workshops.
Resources Overview
This year’s curriculum is designed to be both structured and flexible, giving you everything you need to create meaningful moments with your campers.
At its core are a series of 30-minute “Mission Moments” that can be easily led during group sessions. You’ll also find a variety of adaptable activities – like games, puzzles, and creative exercises – that can be mixed and matched to suit your schedule.
To deepen engagement, we’ve included optional tools to help campers take action. A fundraising guide, project overview, and prayer card invite campers to support and pray for CBM’s work in Kenya, including team member Laura Muema.
