You are eligible to receive a $500 subsidy for a youth pastor’s STM to El Salvador (Oct. 13-20) to serve and learn alongside our partner there. This is an incredible opportunity for you to see firsthand the ministry that we are part of in this region, work alongside a local church, all the while reflecting with and learning from CBM Staff . This will be a time of refreshment and learning, and will strengthen and equip you for your ministry here at home.

We believe that our work in El Salvador is uniquely positioned to engage youth groups. The country shares a time zone with Alberta and is located a relatively short flight away. In addition, the projects (composting latrines, eco-stoves, home builds or water projects) provide hands-on opportunities for youth to work alongside local churches in community. Most importantly, students will see church based development done well and will be challenged to think deeply about the Kingdom of God, Justice, and how best to respond to poverty.

Your time in El Salvador will include church and beneficiary visits, hands-on ministry involvement, and conversation around how your youth group could partner with the church in El Salvador. The estimated total cost is $1,950. This includes flights, insurance, and all ground costs.

Dates: October 13-20, 2018
Estimated Cost: $1,950 (after subsidy) depending on the cost of flights and the value of the Canadian Dollar. All STM costs are charitable donations and are therefore nonrefundable
