On the morning of Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, six explosions that are suspected to be acts of terrorism occurred at luxury hotels and churches holding Easter mass. Casualties are recorded at over 321 with 500 wounded. At least 28 Christians, including children, perished. Pray for those affected by this terrible act, for comfort for the families of the deceased and injured.  Pray for peace to be upon the country and for protection from further attacks. Keep Heshan de Silva, president of Sri Lanka Baptist Sangamaya and chairperson of the National Christian Council of Sri Lanka and other Baptist leaders in your prayers as they lead our brothers and sisters in this time of tragedy. Pray that the people in Sri Lanka will turn to God amidst the devastation, see His goodness and be comforted by His love.
