Dear friends and partners, This has been a busy season at the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary (ABTS) with all the end-of-year activities and the start of a new academic year. We are blessed with an amazing group of students whom God is equipping for ministry leadership in the Arab world. The role of the Church is critical in a region filled with conflict and violence. Equipping leaders for the Arab Church is always a priority for us.

Dear ministry partners, while life in Lebanon is getting more and more complicated, it still serves as a strategic gateway for ministry in the Arab world and as a launching pad for training leaders for the Church in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). We are grateful for the role that God is giving us in coming alongside the churches in the region as we equip faithful men and women for ministry. We are also grateful for you, our partners, as together we get to fulfill God’s mandate for this part of the world.

Lebanon

Lebanon has the highest per capita population of refugees in the world, which continues to put an enormous strain on social services, infrastructure and employment. While active conflict in Syria has decreased, there is pressure on displaced Syrians to return home, though many are not yet able to safely and voluntarily do so.
