Sawattdee Ka! Warm greetings from Northern Thailand! Local people are celebrating the reopening of the border of Thailand and Myanmar which has been closed for three years. Initially, the closure was due to the COVID-19 pandemic and then political unrest in Myanmar.
Season's greetings. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year! As the pandemic eases and traveling opens up around the world, we’ve had the opportunity to travel to the field. We are very happy to be able to visit our staff, partners and churches again. It has been almost two years since we came back to Toronto.

My greetings to all of you! The Golden Triangle is celebrating the thanksgiving season, with many churches thanking God for their harvest and praising Him for His provision and protection throughout the year.
This year, Thailand opened up the country to welcome more tourists from all over the world. Airports have become busy, hotels have had more guests, and many shops and restaurants reopened. Schools are filled with students again, and churches hold in-person services. People are happy to be able to see each other again in person.
We’re the team leaders of the Chinese Ministries Team of CBM. We oversee the work in Germany, the Golden Triangle and East Asia. On behalf of our team and CBM, we would like to thank you for your ongoing prayers and support through our partnership.
The situation in Myanmar is still difficult. We continue to receive reports from the field. So many of our students, pastors, and alumni have contracted COVID. The high inflation and political unrest still affect daily life. People have no jobs, therefore no money to bring food on the table.
